Does it matter or make a difference: to wear shoes while exercising?

I do Tae Bo also and I have switched between having shoes on and not having them on and I really have to say that my feet feel better when I am NOT wearing shoes! When I wear shoes by the time I am done with a basic workout my feet hurt. The only reason I wear shoes is cause I have a floor that isn't done yet and I don't want to get splinters. Once I get the floor done I will not ever wear shoes.
