Is it just me or is customer service getting progressively worse?

It is getting worse, but two incidents stand out for me, one was at Gucci in Beverly Hills on Rodeo Drive, the sales clerks ignored me never came near me and even when I went and stood at the counter they ignored me, it got so bad eventually the store had to re think their attitude when business dropped way down. The second was at Lord and Taylor when my mother and I bought a dress and the idiot clerk failed to remove both tags and the alarm went off and they treated us like the FBI ten most wanted, we were detained at the door, treated very badly and then when they realized it was their fvck up we received no apology. We never went back to the store and now it is gone, out of business.
