Why are people against the new health care reform bill?

I've seen countless videos of protests and have heard some of the opinions. A lot of them seem very weak and it seems to me that people do not really understand what they are even trying to argue. I don't mean to sound condescending, but when people are asking for the 'public option' for this reform bill, what is the use if ignorant people were given that right? Also, really, how many Americans percentage-wise have really researched this bill in depth and understand the bill, the current health care system, the bills proposals and provisions, and all things to be considered?
