Why won't my Kapersky Anti-Virus update?

I know its the real deal because I bought it from best buy so its not a fake program, and I scanned for stuff as soon as I got it. Now it complains all the time because it's databases are obsolete. When I click on the on to update them it just sits there at 0% downloading nothing at all whatsoever.
